Mari was used to texture the lion’s head. Two diffuse and specular maps were supplied to the lookdev artist. One for the base skin tone and the second to control the groom's texturing, including, bump and ID maps.

Mercedes and Framestore had a photo shoot with a particular lion. It was very important to replicate the overall look and all the small details and imperfections needed to bring this lion to life, along with the dilating iris detail for the close up shot of the eye.
